English for ASU Admission | ASU Global Launch

Global Launch at Arizona State University offers multiple opportunities for international students to demonstrate their English proficiency for ASU admission without a TOEFL test.

When you successfully complete one of the following programs or courses, you will meet your English proficiency requirement for ASU undergraduate and graduate* degree programs.

Some ASU schools may require higher English proficiency requirements than others. Please contact an advisor in your department to find out if Global Launch is accepted for your degree program.

Undergraduate Admission

English Language Program: Campus or Online Immersion

The classic English language program experience. Study 21-hours each week with other international students. Communicate with your instructors everyday, face-to-face. Participate in cultural and social events and activities to maximize your language learning. Duration of study depends on your current English level. Campus Immersion students study on campus in Tempe, Arizona.

You must achieve a passing score in the Advanced 2 level (equivalent to an 80% or better).

English for Undergraduate Admission and Achievement (Online course)

Achieve your English proficiency requirement in 8 weeks. Study for approximately 10 hours per week in an online learning environment. This course includes grading and feedback from a real Global Launch instructor and participation in class discussion boards. Courses are structured with a start and end date.

You must achieve a passing score (80% or better).

ASU-USA Pathways Program

Earn university credits right away and strengthen your language and academic skills for full degree study at ASU. Qualifying students will earn up to 26 credits toward an undergraduate degree at ASU or any other American university. At the end of your time in the ASU-USA Pathways program, you will progress into your degree program of choice at Arizona State University and be on track to finish your undergraduate journey in four years.

Graduate Admission
