English Language Program

Campus and Online Immersion

One Program, Two Ways to Learn

Since 1974, Global Launch at Arizona State University has offered an intensive English program for learners of all levels. Our team has helped over 1 million individuals achieve their language goals through innovative in-person and online courses and cultural experiences.

As part of the #1 university in the U.S. for innovation, Global Launch is also an accredited member of the American Association of Intensive English Programs.

Having a good understanding of English, along with skills like connecting with classmates and giving presentations, is essential for thriving at a top university like ASU. These skills aren’t tested by standardized exams like the TOEFL or IELTS, yet research shows that students who develop them perform better in their university classes than other first-time international students.

Program Details

The Global Launch English Language Program offers courses for learners at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels, focusing on reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

You can choose between the Global Launch Campus Immersion or Online Immersion programs. After admission, you'll take the official English Placement Test to determine your level, with six levels available and each taking eight weeks to complete. A short-term, 4-week option is available for both programs.

Completing the highest level with a B- (80%) or better satisfies the English requirement for ASU admission.
