English for Admission and Achievement Common Questions

The $475 course fee for the English for Admissions online course is due at the time of application. There is no additional application fee required for these courses. 

You can pay with a credit or debit card from any major bank. If you do not have access to a credit or debit card, you may pay through electronic wire transfer via FlyWire.

There are no requirements for enrolling in the English for Admission and Achievement course. However, Global Launch recommends an advanced level of English in order to successfully manage the demands of this advanced course.

Completion of the English for Admission and Achievement course only satisfies the English proficiency requirement for Arizona State University. If you are looking to gain admission to a different university, you must contact their admissions office to learn more about their English proficiency requirements.

English for Admission and Achievement is administered through weekly projects and discussions boards posted to your My ASU student account. This means that you will not have set class times each day, but you will need to log in regularly to stay on top of updates. We estimate that you will need at least 3-4 hours of internet access each week to review course materials, watch videos, participate in discussion board conversations and more. You may then log off and work on your coursework on your own, offline. 

Yes! When you finish the graduate or undergraduate English for Admission and Achievement online course with an 80% or better, you will fulfill the English proficiency requirement for admission to ASU.

Self-paced English Common Questions

Each course takes an estimate of 8 weeks to complete. However, because the courses are self-paced, you have the option to take your time and work on the course for as long as you need. The self-paced courses have no official start dates, and you can start whenever is convenient.

Yes. If you do not have access to a credit or debit card, you may create a PayPal account with your bank account routing number to store your funds securely and pay for courses. Arizona State University does not provide an option for wire transfer (Western Union, etc.) at this time.

Yes, all Global Launch online courses work in China.

 

Students and teachers can communicate via video conference for courses that offer live teacher feedback.

 

Yes, Global Launch will provide certificates for all students who complete their courses. However, this certificate does not qualify as proof of English proficiency for admission to Arizona State University.

 

No. Global Launch is a non-credit program, which means that you will not receive university credit for participating.
